Kyle Scott Wins Okefenokee Classic
Kyle Scott fired a front nine three under par 33 to catch overnight leader Matt Hughes at the turn and made some clutch pars down the stretch to hold off Jay McLuen and capture the Hopkins Tour's Okefenokee Classic presented by Flash Foods. Scott finished at twelve under par for the tournament after his final round 70. Two time Georgia Open Champion Jay McLuen had a final round 66 to move into solo second place at eleven under. Kyle Wilshire shot a final round 68 to move into third place. Matt Hughes, who held the overnight lead slipped to a 76 today and finished in a three way tie for 4th place with Travis Hampshire and Dan Woltman.

Johnson Wins at Gordon Lakes with Final Round 66
Casey Johnson shot his second consecutive 66 to finish at fifteen under par, good enough for a two shot victory over Dustin Bray in the Hopkins Tour's Armed Forces Benefit Classic at Gordon Lakes. Johnson entered the day tied with Adam Hart. A front nine 31 gave Johnson the momemtum. His birdie-birdie finish sealed the deal. Casey takes home $15,000 for the win, the largest check of his professional career. Leading money winner Spence Fulford closed with a 65 today to move to twelve under par. He tied for third with Wesley Bryan and Patton Kizzire. Wesley had a final round 67, Patton a 68.

Floyd Captures First Professional Win at Bartram Trail
Taylor Floyd shot a final round 63 to earn his first victory as a professional in the Hopkins Tour Bartram Trail Classic in Evans, GA. Taylor trailed overnight leader Christo Greyling by two shots entering today's play but made his move with a front nine 31. His nine under par total tied for the low round of the week and earned him the first place check of $12,000. Recent LSU graduate Smylie Kaufman also closed with a 63 today to finish in second place, three shots behind Floyd. Daniel Bowden and Matt Hughes were next, both finishing at -17 for the tournament. Floyds winning total was an amazing -23 for the three round event.

Binfield Wins Peachtree City Invitational with Course Record Finish
Wade Binfield shot a course record nine under par 63 to capture the Hopkins Tour's Peachtree City Invitational. Binfield, who began the day four shots behind Patton Kizzire, had nine birdies in his round. His victory, his third of the season, is worth $15,000. Kizzire, who has had numerous second place finishes this year played a solid final round but was unable to hold off the hard charging Binfield. Patton finshed at seventeen under par for the week, two shots behind Binfield. Dustin Bray closed with a 67 and was next in third place. Chip Deason also closed with a 67 to finish in fourth.

Fulford Does it Again...Wins 4th Title of the Year at Governors Towne Club
Spence Fulford keeps on winning! He captured his fourth title of the season by edging out Patton Kizzire to win the Hopkins Tour's Governors Towne Club Classic in Acworth, GA. Fulford entered the day tied for the lead with Kizzire who shot a course record 61 in the second round. He seized control of the tournament with an amazing 70 foot eagle putt on the tenth hole and then had to dodge a few bullets down the stretch as Kizzire narrowly missed putts on 17 and 18 to tie and force a playoff. Fulford two putted for par on the 18th hole for his fourth victory, the best season he has ever had either as a pro or amateur. The win was worth $12 ... [ read + ]
Bray Fires Course Record 63, Blisters Field at Oak Mountain
Dustin Bray fired a course record tying nine under par 63 to finish at -21 for the tournament and capture the Hopkins Tour's Oak Mountain Classic in Carrollton,GA. Dustin won by nine shots for his second victory on the Hopkins Tour this year. For the week, Dustin finished with twenty birdies and one eagle against a lone bogey. He takes home $12,000 for the win. Kyle Scott finished in solo second place at twelve under par after a final round 66 today. Travis Hampshire was next at ten under par. Travis shot 67 today. Jimmy Brandt and Trey Denton round out the top 5 at -9. Jimmy shot 67 today, Trey shot 71.

Binfield Goes Wire to Wire for victory at Bradshaw Farm
Wade Binfield made his lone bogey of the tournament on the first hole of the final round but it was not enough to slow down his momentum as he went on to shoot a final round 68 and capture the Hopkins Tour's Woodstock Classic at The Golf Club at Bradshaw Farm. This was Wade's 2nd victory of the season. Binfield finished at -18 for the event, good enough for a four shot victory. Adam Hart, Casey Johnson and Travis Hampshire all finished at -14 and in a tie for 2nd Place. Yoshio Yamamoto, Jin Chung and Kevin Roy all finished in a tie for 5th place at -11. Roy had a final round 64 that included a course record tying 29 on the front nine.

Garber cruises to 5 shot victory in Alpharetta
Former UGA Golfer Joey Garber shot a final round 68 to capture his first professional victory in the Hopkins Tour's Trophy Club Classic in Alpharetta. Garber finished with an impresssive 18 under par total for the tournament, good enough for a 5 shot victory. The recently named All American from the University of Georgia has had three starts as a professional - The Michigian Open where he finished 2nd, The PGA Tour's Travlers Championship last week and The Hopkins Tour event this week. A pretty impressive start to his professional career.

Thompson Birdies to Win in Playoff
Kyle Thompson fired a final round 66 and then birdied the first playoff hole to defeat Patrick Sheehan and capture the Hopkins Tour's Summer Grove Classic. Thompson had a one shot lead coming to the final hole but an errant drive left him under the lip of the fairway bunker. He was unable to secure a par and was forced into a playoff. Sheehan, who shot a final round 65 had a fifteen foot birdie opportunity in the playoff that just missed left. Thompson cooly tapped in his 3 footer for the win and the $15,000 first place prize.

Fulford Wins Again!!! 3rd Title of year with Monroe Classic Victory
Spence Fulford finished birdie,par, birdie to edge out Patrick Sheehan and capture the Hopkins Tour's Monroe Classic. Sheehan finished today with a six under par 64 and had the clubhouse lead when Fulford hit his 2nd shot on the par four final hole to within 6 inches. His tap in birdie gave him a one shot victory and his third title of the season on the Hopkins Tour. Spence has already amassed over $41,000 in winnings in 7 events on the tour. Bray Cruises To Callaway Gardens Classic Win
Dustin Bray looked like he was playing a totally different golf course than the rest of the field in the Hopkins Tour Callaway Gardens Classic. Bray shot a final round six under par 66 to finish at -22 for the tournament, good for a nine shot victory. Dustin began the day with a six shot lead and after a one under par 35 on the front, he birdied the tenth, then eaqled the eleventh hole. The deal was sealed at that point and Bray crusied home to the victory and the first place prize of $15,000. Patton Kizzire and Brian Richie shared second place. Binfield sets record at Eagles Brooke to capture Locust Grove Classic
Wade Binfield shot a course record nine under par 63 to overcome a 5 shot deficit and capture the Hopkins Tour's Locust Grove Classic at Eagles Brooke Country Club. Binfield's round included ten birdies against one sole bogey. His ten under par total was good for a three shot victory. Wade takes home $12,000 with his victory. Kyle Scott was next in 2nd after a final round 68. Second round leader Jack Hiluta finished today with a 74 to come in a tie for third place with Brian Richey. Billy Shida and Tim O'Neal shared fifth place. Shida had a final round 70, O'Neal shot 71 today.

Fulford wins Orchard Hills Classic..2nd Title in 3 weeks.
Spence Fulford put it in high gear today. Starting the day with a 1 shot lead, Fulford eagled the opening hole, shot a four under 32 on the front nine and cruised to a two shot victory in the Orchard Hills Classic. Fulford's eighteen under par total ( his lowest career 54 hole total) earned him his second victory in 3 weeks on the Hopkins Tour. His $12,000 first place check vaulted him into the lead on the season's money list total. Spence has earned over $24,000 so far this season. Great playing.
